Black Friday is a weekly Friday social media series created by Element Everest-Blanks (The Culture Plug) to platform, fund, and amplify small businesses whose funding support has recently been eliminated.

Each week, I spotlight culturally rooted entrepreneurs and invite the community to actively invest in their success.

At a time when many small businesses, especially those rooted in Black and cultural communities, are losing grants, sponsorships, and institutional backing, this initiative ensures their stories, products, and impact continue to be seen, supported, and sustained.

MY MISSION

The Culture Plug is committed to building a community that supports entrepreneurs who lean into their culture to create meaningful connections and economic opportunities. I understand that culture is not just identity, it is infrastructure for commerce, innovation, and community growth.

HOW THE WEEKLY SERIES WORKS

• Every Friday, one small business is featured across (The Culture Plug) platforms.

• Features include storytelling videos, interviews, product spotlights, and social promotion.

• Donations collected go directly to the entrepreneurs through product purchases, and feature support.

WHY THIS MATTERS

For too long, small businesses have been asked to provide free products in exchange for “exposure, “Black Friday” changes that narrative. We believe in paying people for their brilliance.
