About Element
Element Everest-Blanks is an award-winning cultural architect, speaker, moderator, and Program Director of HYFIN a Radio Milwaukee station.
She stands as one of the 1% of Black women serving as a radio Program Directors globally. She is the founder of The Culture Plug where she builds platforms, experiences, and conversations that don’t just highlight culture, they actively shape it.
From radio studios to international stages, Element also turns dialogue into actionable impact, helping organizations move beyond performative engagement through workshops and guided discussions.
Her expertise spans culture, strategic leadership, music, media, and journalism, with experience working within influential institutions such as the Recording Academy as a global artist advocate and Grammy-U mentor, the National Association of Independent Venue Association I.D.E.A committee member, Global Women in Music member and Moms in Music member. Through these platforms, she drives equity, representation, and systemic change, creating spaces where marginalized voices are centered and amplified.
Locally her work can be felt through her work on HYFIN where she amplifies the voices of Black women through her flagship show “Ladies First”, her Board role for the Nation Association of Black Journalist Milwaukee chapter, her Visit Milwaukee I.D.E.A committee role and her position as the first ever Amplifier- In Residence for Marcus Preforming Arts Center.
Element’s work has earned multiple prestigious honors, including two Telly Awards, the Cultural Catalyst - Unity Award, and the Dear MKE Award, reflecting her unwavering commitment to building a more equitable, culturally rich, and community-centered world.
